Obscurity or rejection, which is your greatest fear?
I fear rejection the most, as I've experienced being bullied—not nice. Reg never experienced it—he was a league footballer when young. He tells me that people don't bully ruckmen. smile emoticon
Neither of us fears obscurity as we love a peaceful, quiet life.
I just overcame my fear of rejection by speaking in favour of a business (I'm not connected to) where criticism was becoming akin to bullying. I wrote about my positive experience with them.
Now I need to focus on the positives. I'll focus on those people who will appreciate someone trying to halt negativity, and I need to block out my fear of rejection as a result of speaking against the flow.
Fear cripples if we allow it to. I'd love to hear your experiences and thoughts. Are you more afraid of obscurity or rejection? Can you face it and overcome your fear? I doubt that it is courage, nor wise, that I face my fear of rejection. I'd say that it comes from my strong survival instinct.
