I watched an interview with a woman who had lost 50 kilo of excess weight. She lost her first 40 excess kilo over 33 weeks.
I liked that she did not follow a diet.
1/ She did learn about good nutrition.
2/ She did keep a Food Diary
3/ She did always have snacks on hand to eat if hungry.
4/ She did not ban any food from her diet but she did ask, 'Is it worth it?'
5/ She never went hungry.
6/ She did spend calories like you spend money…make sure it is worth it.
7/ She did search for foods that 'fill you up.'
8/ She chose, fast, nutritious and delicious food - just as I like to choose but did not ban any treat food if she felt it was worth the calorie cost. Obviously she was counting calories and provided the calorie allowance was a healthy one, I applaud this method of releasing excessive weight. .
I believe in this way of eating.
Today I opened my diary and wrote: Passion fruit yogurt and home made muslie 300 cal skim milk allowance for drinks 100 cal
I also planned a shopping trip tomorrow to make a chicken soup....something easy, delicious, nutritious and filling that is worth the calories. I cook my soup in my slow cooker and I add 1 dessertspoon full of vinegar to the water to draw lots of minerals out of the bones I include with the meat, (I never buy commercial stock) and this gives me a richer flavored and healthier soup or stew, depending on how much meat I add.
