Every morning I check out the news and social media and see so much total rubbish and contradictory advice being give about beauty and weight and a disregard for true fitness and health. So much is about trends. Why? Because new trends sell and make money, for those who begin them, even if they are based on a myth. Enlist a celebrity or “guaranteed” you will drop pounds fast or spot reduce inches of belly fat and they have a ready market.
But be wary of fad dieting.
Few fad diets live up to the hype and many are dangerous to your long term healthy creating diseases often labeled slimmer’s diseases such as gall bladder issues and osteoporosis as these will frequently follow low fat dieting.
Many of these, so called, cleansing fruit juice and fruit diets are loaded with sugar and placing a strain on the pancreas and exaggerating the risk of developing diabetes. Your liver, kidneys, lungs, bowel and skin do most of the work of cleansing your body and a balanced nutrient, portion controlled eating plan is all you need for a healthy body to cleanse itself.
Low carb dieting places a strain of kidneys and other vital organs and those low carb bacon breakfasts are loading your body with know carcinogenic nitrates and that along with reduced fiber intake are making many dieters far more likely to get preventable bowel cancer.
