I appreciate the information. It prompted my to download the UV app to my phone to balance ensuring that I get more Vitamin D from the sun without getting more skin cancers. It is difficult to get all of our vitamin D from food. My comments are due to my personal hesitation to trust medical advice from a sales channel and not a criticism of the information provider, nor a criticism of people who want to trust such sources. It is more explaining why I don't trust commercial sourcees for my health information.
Vitamin D is toxic at high levels. In has caused the death of humans who have eaten dog liver which is high in Vitamin D, and that Vitamin D was from a natural source. You never just take Vitamin D. Vitamin D 3 is the best one to take as a tablet, or cod liver oil if you can stomach that, but even fish isn't as healthy as it once was due to our ocean contamination.
The most important thing is that Vitamin D 3 should only be taken when needed at the dose regulated.
What stood out the most from the share article ins that there is no referencing to a merger, recognised research fairly os researcher mention, no back up study mentioned, It ends with a call to stock up on something that the scaremonger is selling. Tell me why I should trust their product?
They are right when they say, "Fortunately nature has a fix." But nature doesn't come in a bottle from The People's Chemist." The book might be good, and interesting if read with the knowledge than just because something is in print does not make it so. (I'm a writer by profession, I should know.)
I love the next sign that this is "Buyer Beware." Look at the sales pressure-inserted in that message. - LOW STOCK ALERT. They build the reader up and there pressure for fast action for you to spend money on a product. That is not what a sign of good health research it's a sure sign of a snake oil seller. I read between the lines.
I do, totally agree that you have to be careful with Vitamin D. That's why I've been sunbathing, baring my skin to the winter sunshine even on cold days. In Australia, we should be able to get enough Vitamin D from sunshine, although with all the use of sunscreen and sun covers many people's skin never see the sun.
The US Mayo Clinic consider taking Vitamin D to be safe. Even with that, I'm wary of taking anything artificial. So I only take a low-dose Vitamin D3 because my Vitamin D levels are extremely low.

That stated something similar to that above, and ended that the information was "from Australian researchers." That lost part is your warning Alert that the site is a commercial scamming site. Who were the researchers? Two teenagers and their cat in the backyard? Half a dozen bored office workers? Oh' and I get a pop-up advising me that I need to give them my email (so they can spam me) so that I'll know something that a million others don't know—I don't get my health information from articles that contain statements such as 'doctors know', or 'researchers' have discovered or researched by an unknown doctor or research institute and reported on a realistic looking, but fake, news report.
Dr Julie Miller advised me to continue taking my Vitamin D. She didn't even stress that it should be Vit D 3, which I consider the safer one. She didn't insist that it should be from exposure to sunlight when the UV levels are below 3, as I try to get. I'm inclined to trust her as being up-to-date with information on Vitamin D and motivated by seeking good heath for her clients rather than benefiting from supplying advice so that it ends is a sale.
I searched on the internet again and this time I found advice on consuming VitD naturally from food from an Institute of Medicine, which I researched further to discover they had do medical people working for it, it was a factory and sales distribution suggesting it was another snake oil seller.
