Do you 'invent' when you cook?
I have a big pot of beef Bolognese simmering while I write a chapter with an Italian migrant family in it. Can you smell the onions, garlic and red wine ?
I was thirteen years old' un 1959 when I tasted my first 'Spag Bol.' Italian food was relatively unknown in Australia before post WWII migration from southern Europe. Now I only use the wholemeal variety of spaghetti and I love to cook a variety of dishes. I've recently been preparing more Middle Eastern food.
Tonight's meal is an Asian Italian mix because I'm using bean sprouts instead of spaghetti. I find it fun to invent recipes.
This week I've had fun painting, sketching, blogging, and I'm heading too bed early for a change, tired out ofter a big week. I've been getting my art images into an online store that distributes world wide.
