Most chocolate manufacturers are buying some of their supplies from the Ivory Coast where the labour force not only consists of may children under 15 but some of these children are slave laborers working in appalling conditions.
I have striven to stay away from eating chocolate for most of my life as I view it as a high calorie food containing refined sugar and saturated fat which out weighs any possible good the nutrient benefits of cocoa might have though the 80% dark chocolate is considered by some people as beneficial in the diet, I remain skeptical.
This is enough to turn me off buying chocolate as I do not want to support any chocolate manufacturer who does not clearly start that their chocolate is 100% Free trade.
Tell other people about child slave trade within the Chocolate industry and to only buy free trade chocolate.

I plan to eat Free Range, Free trade, Healthy, just as nature made them, Easter Eggs this year and No I do not throw away the healthy half just because the yolk has some fat in it. Ever heard of Vitamin A and E and fat soluble vitamins? Nature got it right the first time. As for the cholesterol in the egg, nature also put lecithin in them to metabolism the cholesterol. Honestly you can trust eating a real free range, free trade, fresh laid and cooked egg, just don't trust money hungry food processing companies who use slave labour and boycott their products if you respect human life and want children to have the chance for an education and some degree of life choice.
