Thank you for the great support, everyone. I created a new vegetable garden bed and planted it out today. The rest of the day was running around doing carer duties. Evening doing my computer based work.
My treadmill desk is just a narrow bookshelf behind a standard Evo treadmill to take the 21" iMac and a narrow timber plank across the treadmill arms to take the keypad and mouse and a speaker for when I dictate. iMac has a built in dictate program, ideal for treadmill desk users. I'll get a photo of my current setup for you and post it over Easter.
Here is another inexpensive treadmill conversion that I've used (see photo) in the past for a laptop. This is using an over the tyre table (cost $39. from BCF a few years ago) that is sold at boating and fishing shops. This doesn't extend the area outside the treadmill, in does shorten the treadmill walk area, okay if you only walk on the treadmill.
I like my current set up with the larger screen iMac on a shelf behind the treadmill best. It extends the treadmill length only the width of the iMac stand and you have a full size treadmill deck.
The Mayo Clinic recommend 1 kilometre an hour for treadmill desk work. I can manage two kilometres an hour if I'm only reading.
