Break out the dry ginger beer, to aid senior's digestion while celebrating. I'll stop writing and grab myself a bubbly one now. I have reason to celebrating tonight.
I'm over the initial response of mild depression that my husband isn't home with me. You see, he has been accepted into a placement for assessment of his special needs at the Mary Coram Unit, the Gem Ward, at Goulburn Valley health.
We both, my husband and I, feel positive that there will be a good outcome to be gained from this rehabilitation hospital ward stay.
Is it too soon to strike up the band, or at least the snare drum kit? I feel that this health investigation by specialists, that my man is getting, deserves a huge celebration. You need music to celebrate with, and I doubt that anything could surpass the drums.
I'm old enough to remember when drum bands were top of the charts. They played fine music too. In this age of political correctness and enforced quiet, I'm wondering if more teenagers were given drums and the use of the garage of family room for music jam sessions, if everyone (once they acclimatised to a bit of noise) might not be a lot happier. Gosh, life deserves to be celebrated.
