Some people dream of success... while others wake up and work hard at it.
I only work hard at the things I really want and love, and I don't like and never have liked, dieting.
I have requests to be friends from people starting diets on Monday
They thought I could support them in their efforts.
I am sorry I cannot.
I do not 'diet.'
I do not recommend 'dieting.'
I do not applaud weight loss for the sake of weight loss.
Where I genuinely applaud the release of excess, weight, it is when I know it is being achieved through a lifestyle that leads to fitness and healthy living.
On Monday, my lifestyle will undergo little change from today.
I firmly believe, 'diets do not work.' Lifestyle Balance works, and the support of well-informed, experts and friends who are achieving or have achieved similar goals is a huge support.
My lifestyle is already in action, and my life and diet will not change and didn't need to change, even when I was doing the 12WBT program I was still giving it my best, as I do each day to strive for a balanced lifestyle. I eat more than 1,200 calories a day and I rarely count them, I listen to my body's hunger signals. I stay a lot healthier, not eating low cal, but focusing on healthy eating according to my hunger scale. I eat healthy portion controlled easily prepared tasty food.
I exercise and am active, not to be a size 10 or 12, but because I love life. I do strive not to eat saturated fat, refined sugar and white grains, harmful chemicals and the sodium in processed food. The temptation to lead a sedentary lifestyle is not worth the pain and suffering of lifestyle diseases.
Keeping myself fit to do those things I love and enjoy doing, is a powerful motivator for me.
I have 'ditched' the bathroom scales, ages ago, as my main focus, I do not stress about day to day variations. I am focusing on LIFE.
The most important scale I am using is, 'LIFE BALANCE.'
Life Balance is avoiding the extremes of dieting at one end or self-neglect at the other.
Let us LOVE ourselves enough TODAY, both YOU and I, to make choices for Living and Loving our Life, TODAY - never mind waiting until Monday.
Let us LOVE OURSELVES, Every day. We are doing this NOW.
