I went on a finger exercising mission last night for ways to incorporate a more active lifestyle into my sedentary author and artist's life. I spent hours researching ways to convert my small home gym to place where I can read and write at the same time. I eventually ordered a 'device' from China that should reach my Northern Victoria home by mid-September. No doubt it will come complete with instructions in fluent Chinese and three nuts and bolts missing and as is often the case with things purchased from the unknown ad far away, online.
I would have loved to have purchased this Amason computer desk. However the $200. shipping cost to Australia on top of the cost of the desk forced me into a back flip at the 'confirm payment' stage of the transaction.
While I was buying online for the evening. Having purchased a device that should hold my laptop computer solid while I use my treadmill and my exercise bike, I went to a couple of my favorite on-line clothing stores and ordered a couple of pairs of slack, tops, and dresses to fit my current biggest I get the size. These and my new laptop holding device should be waiting for me when I get home to Northern Victoria in September along with my gym membership renewal.
I plan to use the pool at the gym three times a week, get back to my bush walking and use my new mobile reading apparatus. I'll read my Kindle on my laptop computer while exercising on my treadmill and bike several times a day.
Nutrition wise. All's good. I purchase a wide range of fresh vegetables and a mix of fish, poultry and lean red meat and some lentils. Rolled oat curial and homemade yogurts. If I feel like it, and I did this week, I often include one treat indulgence in a shopping trip. This week it was cream cheese, and butternut snap biscuits which I ate instead of a meal rather than as well as a meal. Not the ideal nutrition, however, I strive for a balanced lifestyle, not fanatical obsessions. I'm happy. I'm doing everything I want to do. I'm also pleased with my plans to make my sedentary work, more active.
