'Somewhere over the rainbow".
The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow,
but the rainbow won't wait while you do the work.”
“Life is like a rainbow.
You need both the sun and the rain to make its colours appear.”
I'm not a fitness fanatic.
I think being slim is over-rated. I question if a society that spends a fortune on labour saving devices, transport, and gym memberships is superior to one where you manually hang clothes in the sunshine to dry, grow your vegetables, walk to the shops and carry your groceries home.
There is a balance to suit all of us. I've chosen a simple, labour saving gadget free life complete with the vegetable garden.
I do have a few degrees behind me, bone health, anatomy and physiology, and nutrition. But, I don't consider myself an expert. I'm currently studying Food as Medicine.
I love food, and need to remind myself to eat according to my body's needs and also to exercise in a productive and enjoyable way that fits is with my lifestyle.
Today's lifestyle exercise will be planting clematis wines in the cottage garden, peas, beans and garlic in the vegetable beds. I'll pull out a few weeds, clean a kitchen floor. Use the treadmill desk as I study my Food is Medicine University course. I'll also do a Photoshop tutorial while on the treadmill desk. I'm taking it easy with my feet up at the moment. Live is a balance, and I love the body at rest and the mind in creative activity times the most. What about you?
