What's with all this low--carb eating?
Pumpkin scones above. Fine, in a healthy balanced diet, when eaten in moderation. To avoid eating too many at a time, consider freezing them. Then, grab one out of the freezer and top with cheese for a delicious morning tea, Nothing is 'fattening.' It is when, and how much you eat, that affects if you gain weight or not.
Low-carb is not a healthy diet in my, and many dietary experts, opinion.
There is no fiber in fats or the high protein food. Fiber is contained in your whole-grains and unrefined carbohydrates.
Cut these rubbish, refined carbs, white grains and sugar products. They offer you no benefited deplete your Vitamin B reserves.
Cut out healthy carbohydrates from your diet, and you are asking for digestive disease. Start having bacon breakfasts(a common low-carb breakfast, and that digestive disease will be bowel cancer for certain if you do it for long enough. Should I go on? Any diet that cuts out one essential nutrient is harmful. Humans need protein, fats and carbohydrate combination in every meal to get a balanced diet.
Vitamin B group is found primarily in unrefined carbohydrates. You need Vitamin B for healthy nerves and energy. Of course, you will get irritable, exhausted, and crave carbohydrates and become more prone to anxiety and yo-yo dieting if you cut carbohydrates.
I am feeling a little tired this morning. Went to mention that in my facebook status, and then ‘cut’, it as I don’t like being negative. It would be time enough to mention it if I was down. Threw it on this blog as part of my expressing how I also have days when 'I don't feel like making an effort'. That's normal for all of us to feel that way.
I like to have a plan in place to fall back on when I can't be bothered to exercise.
My plan is, to 'JUST DO IT.'
So here I am, having one of those mornings, when I know if I was to weigh myself the scales, would swear at me, due to two days of less activity due to more driving, than normal, this week. Plus, I ate 'social food,' due to visiting and I might add enjoyed the experience.
Eating Gem's home grown and cooked, Queensland country kitchen food, was a treat I would not have missed out on. There are, times when 'enjoyment' becomes a big part of my concept of healthy eating and the two, Gem's scones and jam, I ate, were 'not to be missed,' experiences :-).
I know that today needs to be an active day, with a focus, on healthy portion controlled eating. I am feeling a bit 'groggy' after two long days of touring in the last three days, but I intend to make an effort this morning and go for a swim and freshen myself up. I think you do feel good after you have done exercise :-).
